Expect gradual water supply restoration
While the water refills, other areas still experience interruptions.
The CoE’s water supply network supplied by Rand Water’s Mapleton Booster Pump Station is experiencing supply interruptions because of a power outage at the pump station over the weekend.
The power supply was since restored. However, some areas are still experiencing intermittent water supply because the storage level is insufficient for pumping to resume.
Complete restoration of the supply will be gradual because of draining the system. In the meantime, the city will send water tankers to the affected areas, which include Brakpan, Springs, Kwa-Thema, Tsakani, Duduza and Nigel.
The CoE’s digital platforms will communicate any updates.
