Woman (54) gunned down in Geduld
The Springs police are investigating a case of murder after a woman was shot and killed in Geduld on Sunday.
A 54-year-old woman was shot and killed along First Avenue in Geduld on October 6.
According to Springs police spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, when the police arrived at around 07:40, a CPF member alleged he heard gunshots from his house.
“He told the police he immediately went outside and found the woman’s body lying face-down in the street,” said Tshabalala.
“She sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body. Paramedics declared her dead at the scene,”
The woman was wearing black sneakers, with white socks, military trousers, a white jersey, a white and navy striped top, a black top, and a mask.
The police found six cartridges and a projector at the scene.
The motive for her killing is unknown. A case of murder was opened at Springs SAPS, and no arrests were made at this stage.
