Hospice Candles Celebration: change of venue and date
Hospice is joining hand with the Homestead Helpers for Benoni to honour those in need.
Hospice East Randâs annual Candles Celebration will no longer take place at St Dunstanâs College on November 16, but be part of the Homestead Helpers for Benoni carols by candlelight event on December 8.
South Africa is a country of great pride and due to the Springboks facing England at Twickenham on November 16, a decision was made to rather merge this yearâs event,â said Jonquil Siepman, the organisationâs marketing and media liaison.
âSlower than expected ticket sales were a clear indication that our event would not have enjoyed sufficient support.
âHowever, we are thrilled to announce we will be partnering with Homestead Helpers for Benoniâs Carols by Candlelight and Christmas Market at
Homestead Dam on December 8.
âResidents can use this opportunity to light a candle for those living with a life-threatening disease, while we remember those who fought bravely,â said Jonquil.
The market takes place from 10:00 to 17:00 and then itâs the harmonious carols by candlelight until 20:00.
Bring chairs and picnic baskets.
