Lighthouse Community Centre raises funds in style

Lighthouse Community Centre hosted an evening of elegance and unforgettable memories at its inaugural gala dinner.

The Lighthouse Community Centre (LHCC) hosted its inaugural gala dinner recently to raise funds for the newly acquired premises.

The new property will be home to the Light of the World Children’s Church and serve as the community development centre.

The centre will run extra classes, homework, and STEAM programmes, including robotics. Nontokozo Ngwenya, a committee member of the capital campaign, says it had been a tough journey to put this together.

“The unity and commitment of the team throughout the build-up made it worthwhile.

“We are fortunate to have members who are multi-skilled and talented. Our members were happy to bring their unique skills to create what we could witness at the gala evening,” said Ngwenya.

With LHCC turning three next year, it aims to continue to witness the growth and impact it is making in and around the community of Selcourt and Springs.
