Here is a look at what is going on in Springs.

• March 1
The Jesus Outreach is hosting a 2km fun walk at the PJ Nursery in Dersley. Participants are encouraged to dress up. Prize for best-dressed. Entry is R50. The walk starts at 10:00. All returns go to their feeding scheme. For more information, contact San van Wyk on 072 393 1576.

• Die Geduld Karateklub vier vandeesmaand hul tweede verjaarsdag met ‘n heerlike familiemark. Die mark sal vanaf 11:00 tot 17:00 aan die gang wees met vermaak en ‘n verskeidenheid stalletjies om na uit te sien. Vir meer inligting, kontak Hendrehet by 082 569 8495.

• March 7
The Trinity Methodist Church will celebrate the World Day of Prayer at 10:00. For more information, contact Brenda Cock on 072 567 4666.

• April 5
As part of their fundraising campaign, Kattitude will host a 5km run at the Strubenvale Circle. It will start at 07:00, and all participants are encouraged to dress up like a cat. For more information, contact Tanya Kitching on 082 860 2971.

• April 26
To celebrate its 30th birthday, Meat World will host the Meat World Music Festival from 08:00 to 18:00, and entrance is free. It will boast talents like MiCasa, Francois van Coke, Bernice West, Pieter Smith and Mari Bosman. For more information, email stalletjies@oppiland.co.za

• Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00 and calls on all vendors to apply to participate. Send your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.

• The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park, and it runs from 08:00 to 13:00. Stall hire for businesses and farmers is R150.
