Here’s what to do in Springs

Here is a look at what is going on in Springs.

• March 7
The Trinity Methodist Church is celebrating World Day of Prayer at 10:00. For more information, contact Brenda Cock on 072 567 4666.

• March 15
Strubenvale Primary is hosting a 5km fun colour run/walk. The entry fee is R60 and the run/walk will start at 07:30. You can also look forward to various activities, such as a fitness challenge and dance competition. Food and refreshments will be sold, and anyone is welcome. For more information, contact the school on 011 812 1632.

• April 5
As part of their fundraising campaign, Kattitude will host a 5km run at the Strubenvale Circle. The run will start at 07:00 and all participants are encouraged to dress up like a cat. For more information, contact Tanya Kitching on 082 860 2971.

• April 26
In celebrating their 30th birthday, Meat World will host the Meat World Music Festival from 08:00 to 18:00. Entrance is free. It will boast great talent such as MiCasa, Francois van Coke, Bernice West, Pieter Smith and Mari Bosman. For more information, email stalletjies@oppiland.co.za

• Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00. With this, Meat World Springs is calling on all vendors to apply to participate. Send your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.

• The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park and it runs from 08:00 to 13:00.
