Pay your traffic fines easily through WhatsApp
The city no longer uses the Pay City website for payment of fines.
Residents can now check and pay their traffic fines on the city’s WhatsApp business platform.
Here are the steps to follow:
• Save the WhatsApp chatbot number 060 667 7177
• Text “Hi”
• A response message will provide a list of services to choose from
• Select option 5 (view notices)
• The chatbot will then request you to insert either your South African ID number or the notice number
• You will then be presented with an Active Fine List of all your fines and prompted to select a fine you wish to pay
• A link will then follow
• Click on the link, then follow the prompts to complete your payment
Motorists are reminded that the city no longer uses the Pay City website for fine payments. Residents can contact the city for assistance on 011 999 51102 or siyakhokha@ekurhuleni.gov.za
