Here is a look at what is going on in Springs.

• April 26
To celebrate itsr 30th birthday, Meat World will host the Meat World Music Festival from 08:00 to 18:00. Entrance is free. It will boast MiCasa, Francois van Coke, Bernice West, Pieter Smith and Mari Bosman. For more information, email stalletjies@oppiland.co.za

• May 3
The Springs Central Air Scouts will host a fundraiser at the Scout hall from 09:00 to 16:00. The scouts will run a carwash for R50 per car and R70 per bakkie. For more information, call Annelesia Laubscher on 079 618 4267.

The Vita Nova Centre will host a family fun day at 10:00. The theme will be Disney Channel characters like Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck. For more information, call the centre on 082 372 8139.

• May 6
The Springs Senior Citizens’ Club will hold a Bingo morning at 10:00. The cost is R40 for eight games, which includes refreshments. Cash prizes can be won. The club is on 1a Seventh Street North, Springs CBD. For more details, call Pauline Houghton on 011 811 0098.

• 9-10 Mei

• Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00 and calls on all vendors to apply to participate. Send your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.

• The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park. Iit runs from 08:00 to 13:00.
