Springs Rugby Club welcomes girls to join training sessions
Springs Rugby Club is looking for girls aged under nine to under 18 to join their team.
Springs Rugby Club is inviting girls aged under nine to U18 to become part of its growing girls’ rugby section.
Training sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 17:30 to 18:30, offering young players the chance to learn, train and compete in a safe, structured environment.
The club is committed to nurturing talent from a young age and encouraging a passion for rugby among girls. Training is held at the Springs Rugby Club fields, and players of all skill levels are welcome.
Team manager Bernice Dirksen told the Springs Advertiser that women’s rugby is gaining more recognition.
“Our union (Valke) wants to start developing more female players. By training young girls now, we can develop future talent. As part of the Springs Youth Rugby Club, I believe we should lead the way in developing these young players,” she said.
Dirksen invites parents or guardians of interested girls to contact her for more information. She can be reached on 082 929 6571.
