Linda Goodier remembered for years of service at Springs Senior Citizens’ Club

The Springs Senior Citizen Club’s admin assistant, Linda Goodier, recently passed away after a brief illness.

The Springs Senior Citizens’ Club is mourning the loss of Linda Goodier, its admin assistant for four years. She died after a short illness on January 16.

Goodier, born on September 25, 1954, spent nearly 50 years in Springs after emigrating from the UK. She worked for many years at the First National Bank in Springs.

Club manager Pauline Houghton, who had known her for 30 years, said Goodier was loved for her smile and sense of humour.

“She will be missed by all who knew her,” said Houghton.

Goodier is survived by her two children, Nichola and Andrew, and four grandchildren. Her memorial service was held on January 30 at the Alan Woodrow Park Retirement Village in Brakpan.
