Springs businessman Aaron Moloko remembered for legacy in logistics
The Springs entrepreneur was known for his leadership in logistics and contribution to local football.
Aaron Senaise (Oompie) Moloko, a respected businessman and pioneer in South Africa’s transport and logistics industry, died on April 26 at the age of 69.
Born on November 18, 1956, in Payneville, Moloko later obtained a Transport Diploma from Rand Afrikaans University (University of Johannesburg) in 1987.
He went on to found Springs-based businesses, Tri-ron Trucking and Crane Consultants in 1991, as well as Ofentse Logistics, building a strong reputation in abnormal transport, heavy lifting and logistics planning and working across Ekurhuleni.
With more than three decades of experience, he was widely regarded for his leadership, technical expertise and commitment to quality service.

Apart from the businesses, Oompie also owned a soccer club in Kwa-Thema, Tri-ron Spurs, in the 1990s, which helped develop some of the area’s football players.
Beyond his professional achievements, Moloko was a devoted family man. He is survived by his sister, three children and three grandchildren.
“He will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, and unwavering dedication to both his family and his clients and the community at large. The community lost a giant,” expressed his daughter, Florence Moloko-Motlhamme.
His funeral service will be held on May 2 from 09:00 to 12:30 at St Andrew’s Anglican Church in Kwa-Thema.
