City to begin rehabilitation work after sinkhole concern in Springs

Officials say rehabilitation work will begin soon after concerns were raised on First Street.

The City of Ekurhuleni Corporate and Shared Services MMC Siphumule Ntombela recently held an engagement with community leaders of Springs and Kwa-Thema during his monitoring visit.

The city stated that during the visit, he identified a potential developing sinkhole on First Street in the Springs CBD.

“Ntombela indicated that the relevant departments have been mobilised to address the situation, and rehabilitation work will commence soon,” said the city.
