Springs learner crowned junior commissioner after debating success
The Springs learner progressed from local to district level before being inaugurated as a junior commissioner.
A Springs learner was part of an event by Henley Business School where junior commissioners gathered from across Gauteng.
The business recently hosted the Gauteng SAPS junior commissioner’s Inauguration and handover ceremony.
Springs SAPS junior commissioner and Modder East High School learner Marvellous Pudumo began his journey last November. This is when he competed at the local level in Springs, where he secured second place.

According to Springs SAPS, his performance earned him a place at the next round of the programme held in Duduza, where he once again impressed judges and emerged victorious at the zone level.
The local police shared that at the zone competition, participants were tasked with engaging on social issues affecting schools, including presenting ideas on how law enforcement and communities can work together to address bullying in schools.
Pudumo advanced to the district-level competition, where he continued to represent Springs with distinction. Competing against top learners from across the district, he achieved second place overall.
