Springs community invited to experience the 30th Sarasvathee Heritage Concert
The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host its annual Sarasvathee Celebrations and Heritage Concert featuring performances from various community groups.
The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host its 30th annual multi-cultural Sarasvathee Celebrations with Heritage Concert at the Bakerton Community Hall on September 20 at 14:40.
The annual cultural celebration provides a meaningful platform for members of the Hindu community including Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati and Telugu-speaking to showcase cultural items in their respective languages in praise of Goddess Sarasvathee, the revered goddess of knowledge, music and the arts.
“Over the years, the event has become an important platform for promoting unity, cultural diversity and heritage bringing together communities through music, dance and the performing arts.
“It celebrates the richness of South Africa’s diverse Hindu heritage while encouraging togetherness and cultural appreciation” said chairperson Poovershree Pillay.

The Bhairavi Sungum invites members of the community and the public to join in celebrating this significant milestone and to experience an afternoon dedicated to culture, heritage, music, dance and unity.
