Wheeler heroes

The results of the heroes of Springs Wheelers who took part in the Argus Cycle Tour last weekend.

Barney Mynhardt finished excellently in the top 10% of the field at 0:3;20.

Henk Smith finished in 0:3;29, with Ian Page at 0:3;41, Ken Koopman at 0:3;44, Rudi Bosch at 0:3;47, Grant Robertson at 0:3;50, William Wilson at 0:3;59, Danie Neuhoff, 0:3;55 and Derek McCarogher at 0:4;03.

Kevin Du Preez finished the race at 0:4;04, Mark Murray at 0:4;06, Bill Makepeace at 0:4;40, Dieter Kloss at 0:4;52, Richard Cullum at 0:5;09, Isabel Cullum at 0:5;09, Hennie Korff at 0:5;15 and Mitch Korff at 0:5;25.

Corne van Dongen came in at 0:5;34, Anthony Heaney at 0:5;47 and Veronica McCarogher at 0:6;11.

“Well done to all Springs Wheelers who took part in the Cape Argus, a very tough day with strong gusting winds,” says Ray Roodt.

The heroes of the day must be Bill Makepeace who competed in the 70 to 74 age category and finished in the top half of the field, and Dieter Kloss who was in the same category just a few minutes behind Bill.
