Club competition heats up
The club championships of the Selection Park Tennis Club are now in full swing.
The players enjoyed the weather and did their best during Saturday’s games.
In the Men’s Singles, Daniel Myeni beat Rudolph Pretorius 6-0, 6-1.
Sandy Kock played against Mica de Lange in the Women’s Singles, beating her 6-0, 6-3.
In the Women’s Doubles, Kyla Yelverton and Julian Perreira beat Michelle Kent and Elza Labuschagne 6-0, 6-2.
Kyla beat Konika de Lange in the Women’s Singles 6-0, 6-0.
Anastacia Pesic beat Palesa Mabutsa in the Women’s Singles match 6-0, 6-0.
The winners of the Women’s Doubles playoff match is Anastacia and Konika.
They beat Michelle and Elza 6-4, 7-6.
The Mixed Doubles match between Peter Stoltz and Julian Perreira went in their favour.
They beat Ryno de Lange and Konika 6-0, 6-2.
The finals of the club competitions will be played on September 13.
