Pollak Park hosts Eastern Nomads
Pollak Park hosted the Easterns Nomads' annual golf day on Saturday and about 140 golfers took to the course to compete in this charity golf game.
The Nomads promote the furtherance of golf by assisting junior, women and disabled golf as well as clubs who require assistance.
They play golf once a month at different clubs on the East Rand.
Tee off started at 6.30am and golfers enjoyed the cool weather.
Results are as follow:
The overall winner in the A Division was Kevin Roache with Tony Halse in second place.
James Croxford was the winner of the B Division with Mark O’Donoghue in second place.
The C Division winner was Warren Brits with Graeme Wood in second place.
Results of other games played at the club over the weekend.
Alan Glutz won the Friday Meat competition with 44 points with Gavin Bryson in second place with 39 points.
The best front nine player is John Stopforth with 19 points and the best back nine player is Jarrod Cross also with 19 points.
The IPS was played in the afternoon after the Nomads game.
Winners of the IPS are as follow:
The winner is Rob Tilbury with 38 points with André Kruger in second place with 38 points and Evan Mackenzie in third place with 36 points.
Sunday’s AM winner is Allan Naude with 40 points.
In second place is Chris Oliver with 39 points and Justin Cunha in third place with 38pts.
