Non-bowlers enjoy the greens

There were several stalls on the day and refreshments including vetkoek with different fillings, boerie rolls and pancakes.

The 20 bowlers and 20 non-bowlers took to the two greens to compete in the fun bowls for the day.

The 20 teams of two bowlers per team played for first, second and third place.

Springs Town Bowling Club member Yvonne Litter and her bowling partner Nicholas McKenzie took first place.

John Molupi and his brother Joshua Molupi stepped in as second prize winners, while Willem Viljoen and Tersia Viljoen claimed third place.

Izak Hattingh, competition secretary, says the day was well supported.

“We would like to thank everybody for supporting us and making this fun day a success,” he adds.
