Premier league soccer results
The Easterns Soccer League recently started and the Springs Old Boys (SOB) teams faced tough opponents.
The u-8 Premier side played four games and won two, lost one and drew another.
They played against the Bedfordview team and won 4-0.
Against Modderfontein they won 2-1 and drew against an equally strong Edenvale u-8 team.
A very determined team played Benoni Northerns on Saturday and lost 4-1.
“The u-10 team face their toughest season yet, with the boys needing to adapt to offside rules for the first time in their soccer careers,” says Nino Lopes one of the coaches.
Three of the tough games have resulted in three near losses, but the coaches believe SOB is a force to be watched.
The u-10 team played against Benoni Northerns on Saturday and lost 4-2.
Owethu Mkhonto was the man of the match and received a slab of chocolate from the coach.
All u-7 to u-10 boys are welcome to try out the game.
