Winter League golf results

Golfers enjoyed a warm Winter League day.

Pollak Park Golf Club hosted its Winter League championships on Saturday.

Tee-off time for the morning game was 7am.

Connor Myburgh came in first position in the A Division with 75 points in a three hole play off, while Evan Mackenzie came in second place with 75 points.

The best nett player was Alan Naude with 73 points on count out.

In the first place of the B Division was David Livie with 80 points while Justin Cunha came in second with 81 points.

The bet net player in this division was Renier Geldenhuys with 67 points.

Coming first in the C Division was Derek Walters with 89 points with Eddie Browning in a close second place with 90 points.

Cliff Car scored 72 points in the Best nett.

The winner of the Ladies Division was Anika van der Berg with 93 points.

The rest of the results for the week are as follows:

Wednesday’s IPS games:

Sam Motsoane came first with 38 points, followed by Gerhard Gibson who obtained 35 points on count out.

Thursday’s pensioner’s competition:

John Wright came first with 42 points, and his runner-up, Roy Kirby-Smith also obtained 26 points.

Friday’s meat competition:

In first position was Colin Spence with 38 points and his runner-up Marius du Plessis with 19 points.

Hannes Dempsey was best front nine with 19 points and best back nine was Gerhard Gibson with 24 points.
