Final round of tennis this weekend
The last of the semi-final games of the annual club championships were played at the Selection Park Tennis Club on Saturday.
In the men’s singles Eben Maré beat Pieter Stoltz 7-5/6-2.
Miki Matic beat Logan Stoltz 6-4/7-5 in the play-off men’s singles round.
Women’s doubles pair Diedre and Dianke Vrey beat Michelle Kent and Linda Knoetze 4-6/6-2/6-4.
Mixed Doubles pair Annia Pesic and Eben Mare beat Clair Gosse and Pieter Stoltz 6-4/5-7/7-5 in the semi final round.
In the women’s singles Annie Pesic beat Clair Gosse 6-4/2-6/6-2 in the semi final round.
Duncan Gall beat Scott Wiggial 6-2 /7-5 in the back-draw semi-final of the men’s singles round.
Another back-draw men’s singles round saw Ryno de Lange beat Mike du Toit 6-2/6-4 on Sunday.
The women’s doubles pair Clair Gosse and Sandy Kock beat Colleen Fawcett and Annie Pesic 6-4/6-2 in the semi-final round.
In the men’s doubles Eben Mare and Rynhardt Knoetze beat Justin Cunha and Jono Reed 6-2/6-0 in the semi-final round.
The finals will be played at the club on Saturday and Sunday.
