A 31 point win for over 50s golf team
Springs Country Club hosted their u-50s vs over 50s competition on Saturday.
The competition took the form of a Fourball Betterball Stableford over 18 holes.
It was an open competition and 102 players made up the 51 teams of senior and junior golfers in this annual event.
The over 50s ran away with another victory toppling their u-50s competitors by a whopping 1 029 points.
The u-50s finished second with a team total of 998.
The BBS club competition was played as well with Gawie Greeff and Harry Muller who took first place with 48 points.
Their runners-up were Piet Steyn and Vernon Hendrikse who obtained 45 points on count out, followed by third place finishers Stefan Prinsloo and José Carazon with 45 points on count out.
Chris Nkosi and Solly Sangweni took fourth place with 45 points on count out.
Ian Johnson took nearest the pin at hole two, with Henry Stokes at hole eight, Leon Lubbe at hole 12 and Dave Pretorius at hole 15.
The medal finals will be played on Saturday.
