SOB u-8 soccer team tops

The u-8 Springs Old Boys (SOB) soccer team faced Olympia on Saturday morning.

The team played at SOB soccer ground.

Old Boys were very eager to win this game and won 9-1.

Sean Sangcozi scored three of the nine goals for his home team.

Coach Ntsika Hlongwane says Sean had a good game and made use of every possible opportunity to score a goal.

Other goal scorers were Tau Mogqubane and Jordan Viljoen who each scored two goals.

“I am extremely proud of the goal scorers, but also of every player who played well, together.

“This win is definitely a team effort,” says the coach.

During the second half of the game, Hlongwane made some changes to the team.

He decided to give Tumisho Phofele an opportunity to play, and Tumisho didn’t disappoint him.

“He scored one goal for the team,” says the coach.

Another goal scorer was Aiden Potgieter who also scored one goal.

In the second half the Olympia team fought back vigorously and managed to score one goal.

The winning team left the field victoriously with 9-1.
