U-21 Springs Guns win 55-12

The Springs Rugby Club hosted matches on Saturday at the club.

In the early afternoon, the u-21 Springs Guns played against North-West University Vaal Triangle Campus (NWU-Vaal).

“It was a slow start for the 21 Springs Guns, with NWU putting figures on the scoreboard first,” says Bazil Marais, manager of the u-21 team.

The crowd enjoyed a nail-biting match as both teams gave it their all.

During the second half, the teams fought hard and scored on both sides of the field.

“Our teamwork paid off. Even with a few injuries, the 21Springs Guns came back with a victorious home ground win of 55-12 against NWU.”

The man of the match title was awarded to the eight man Alton Palmer.

Ruben de Jager, Rudi de Beer, Alton Palmer, Armand Tolkin, Tyrone Boesak, Paul Janse van Vuuren, Jason Koen and Jaco van Dyk all scored tries during the match, leading up to Springs’ big win of 55 points.
