Competition heats up at Selection Park Tennis Club

Selection Park Tennis Club’s club championships entered its second week.

The were singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches at the club on Saturday and Sunday.

In the singles matches on Saturday, Kobri du Preez beat Duncan Gail 6-2, 6-2, Danielle Chapman beat Dianke Vrey 6-0, 6-0, Sandra Kock beat Kanika de Lange 6-0, 6-0, Justin Chapman beat Emilo Pinto 6-2, 6-2, and Scott Wiggil beat Pierre Vrey 6-0, 6-4.

In the only doubles match of the day, Sandra Kock and Gillian Pereira beat Dianke Vrey and Kanika de Lange 6-1, 6-0.

Sunday only saw two matches being played.

In the singles match, Byron de la Mare beat Dawid de Wet 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.

In the mixed doubles match, Emilo Pinto and Kanika de Lange beat Pierre Vrey and Dianke Vrey 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
