Bakerton Young Stars Cricket Club players awarded for great performance during the season

Several players have made it into to the Easterns team.

The Bakerton Young Stars Cricket Club had their end of season prize-giving ceremony on Saturday afternoon at Springs Secondary School in Bakerton.

The ceremony was well-attended and players were celebrated for their achievements.

Minesh Bhika was the master of ceremony and was keen to highlight how hard the players had worked and how they had performed very well throughout the season.

A motivational talk by Roshni Magan focused on nutrition and fitness and emphasised the importance of constant practice, hard work and looking after your mind and body.

Prizes were given to the u-8, u-10 and u-12 teams.

The u-12 team was outstanding this season and remained unbeaten the whole season.

Three of their members were included in the Easterns u-11 and u-13 teams.

Parents were also reminded how crucial their role is in the development of their children in the game.

Registration for the new season will start in July and the new season will begin in October.
