Golfers play for a cause at Pollak Park Golf Club

Pollak Park hosted the final Sanlam-sponsored Cancer Challenge.

Sanlam has been the main sponsor for the Cancer Challenge for the past 26 years and has raised more than R40 000 000 through the Cancer Challenge alone.

Pollak Park raised R6 895 on Saturday, with 63 players in the competition.

The results were:

Men’s A-division

First – Grant Cockeran 40 pts

Second – Willem van Wyk 39 pts

Third – Josiah Sishange 38 pts c/o

Men’s B-division

First – Dave Nagel 43 pts

Second – Frans du Toit 37 pts c/o

Third – Ras Jacobs 37 pts

Men’s C-division

First – Faan Kruger 35 pts

Second – Derek Waters 33 pts

Third– Charles Beard 29 pts

Ladies’ C-division

First – Cheryl Brooks 33 pts

Second – Barbara Rough 30 pts

Third – Margaret Reid 22 pts
