RKC Academy’s good form continues
RKC Academy are sitting at the top of the log with 100 points from their 12 games, with only one loss in the season so far.
It was an action-packed Sunday at Olympia Park Stadium with six games taking place.
The winter season has reached its halfway mark and teams are desperately trying to grab every point in order to finish in the top four so they can qualify for semi-finals.
Topping the Sunday 2 log is RKC Academy, who are in great form.
It’s a marvel to watch RKC Academy doing so well as their team is mostly full of younger players who are making grown men tremble at the wicket.
RKC Academy are sitting top of the table with 100 points from their 12 games, with only one loss in the season so far.
Chasing them is Spitbraai, who are on 72 points from their 11 games.
In the Sunday 1 league, it’s a close contest with Beers & Tots leading the log with 55 points from their six games and in second place is the Benoni Bench Warmers on 51 points from their eight games.
Beers & Tots have the upperhand as they still have two games in hand.
This Sunday, the top-performing batsmen were:
Raymond du Preez of Drinking Buddies 50/31, Leon van Vuuren of Drinking Buddies 51/31, Christian Duvenage of Liebherr Legends 50/29, Morné van Eeden of Liebherr Legends 55/21, Anthony Botha and Pieter Schalkwyk of Back Stoppers 50/33 and 50/36 respectively, Olivier Bernie of Spitbraai 51/29 and Ruben Hatting of Hulapalu Blazers 50/31.
Performing magic with the ball was Nicky Pienaar of Liebherr Legends, who bowled two overs and only conceded eight runs and taking one wicket.

LastManStands Benoni has one of their players leading the rankings in the wicketkeeping in South Africa.
Lodie Greeff of Beers & Tots is the number one wicketkeeper in the country and is ranked number six in the world.
