Great turnout at Springs Country Club

Great turnout at Springs Country Club The Springs Country Club has seen plenty of golfers return to the greens since the sport resumed.

This weekend was no exception.

On Saturday, despite the cool weather, 46 players flocked to the course for an IPS competition.

It was won by Hein Venter, who scored 41 points.

Ilana Prinsloo placed second, with 35 points.

Women’s Day saw 100 players, with Doug Buckley placing first with 38 points, followed by Bennie Coleman with 33 points.

On Monday, there were around 80 players.

The results from this day were not available at the time of going to press.

“We urge all members and visitors to join us and play the game we all love so much.

“We will be running a Betterball Knockout from September.

“The list will be up at the club from August 12, so enter or phone your entries through to Dewald Stander in the Proshop.

“The club is also inviting all juniors to join in on the fun and come and play.

“We would like to get our junior section growing, as these players are the future of the club.

“We look forward to seeing everybody, young and old, on the course again,” said club captain Deon Kotze.
