Bowlers take advantage of near-empty green at Springs Town Bowling Club

That, however, did not stop some players from using the opportunity to sharpen their skills.

Ekurhuleni Bowls (EKB) president Craig Hall and Adie Crossey from the Alberton Bowling Club paid a visit to the club and went up against the local players.
Like most sports, competitive bowling has been halted during level four lockdown.

Before the lockdown, the club had just ended their Autumn Trips tournament in which bowling clubs from Brakpan, Boksburg, Benoni and Edenvale took part.

The club was preparing for the men and women trials for the EKB teams and the EKB Fours and will be eager to resume once restrictions have been lifted.
Dates for the trials will be announced in due course.
