Springs Old Boys U10 impresses with a 4-2 victory
Over the weekend, the Springs Old Boys (SOB) soccer club kicked off their first season for the year at the Veritas College sportsfield.
The Springs Old Boys (SOB) U10 team produced a stellar performance at the Veritas College sports field on Saturday.
The team, led by coach AJ Burger, defeated Luso Africa 4-2.
This marked their first victory, after going the entire previous season without winning.
AJ proclaimed they had been waiting a long time for the win.
“We drew a lot of games without winning. The win was well-deserved.”
SOB chairperson Shineen Herholdt expressed her excitement for the remainder of the season as this past weekend marked the first games of the year.
The U13 Premier team defeated Luso Africa 10-2 and the U15 League 2 side lost 8-2 to Ithembalethu FC.
