Pinegrove U12 ‘East Rand ‘s best’

The boys were very excited to be invited to prove their worth in the tournament.

Pinegrove Primary School’s U12 soccer team, coached by Petrus Mabuza, are the league winners.
Mabuza, a general assistant at the school, led the boys to victory against Laerskool Werda, beating them 2-1.

The team subsequently received an invitation to take part in the Easterns U12 Knockout Cup last Saturday at Pinnacle College in Rynfield, Benoni.
The tournament comprised the four league winners of the East Rand Parkland Primary, Anzac Primary, Benoni West Primary and Pinegrove Primary, who represented their respective regions.
The boys were excited to be invited to prove their worth in the tournament.
Pinegrove won 1-0 against Benoni West Primary in the semi-final.

Thereafter, they played in the finals against Anzac Primary, where they triumphed 2-1.
Mfundo Radebe, an impressive attacking midfielder, was the player of the tournament.
The team earned the nickname ‘The Beasts of the East’ and the players, as well as Mabuza, were the proud recipients of medals and an impressive trophy.
The proud team was photographed with the trophy. However, the best reward for the team was to be named the best soccer team of the East Rand.
