Meet Smokie at the Mall@Carnival
The British super group, SMOKIE, will be touring South Africa and Namibia from September 26 to October 5, including performances at Carnival City on October 4 and 5.
However, fans eaer to meet the group in person can do next Wednesday (September 25) from noon at East Rand Stereo’s satellite studio at the Mall@Carnival.
Smokie will be live on air with presenter Francois van Rensburg between noon and 1pm. Thereafter they will be available for half an hour to meet their South African fans for some autographing. Bring your cameras with – you might just get a picture with Smokie.
Retha Potgieter, Station Manager of East Rand Stereo 93.9FM, is very excited about Smokie’s visit to the satellite studio.
“This is our chance to give something back to our loyal listeners to meet this wonderful international group. Our satellite studio at the Mall@Carnival is perfectly situated to receive big name artists and we are proud to be associated with the Mall@Carnival. We invite the public to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity to meet SMOKIE in person,” says Potgieter.
As a limited number of people can be allowed in front of the East Rand Stereo studio, the public are requested to come early to ensure they get a glimpse of Smokie.
