Kama Sutra: Sex and Da Charou

Emperors Palace was home to Karou Charou and his one-man comedy show, Kama Sutra: Sex and Da Charou, for one night only.

The show was staged in The Theatre Marcellus on Saturday.

I enjoyed the show thoroughly and found Karou to be widely entertaining.

This show might not have been to everyone’s taste though, as it was very crass and the majority of the jokes were directed only at the Indian community and at people with an understanding of certain Indian words and slang.

Karou kept his audience entertained by debunking myths in a comical manner.

He made use of slide shows to poke fun at certain positions of the Kama Sutra.

Karou also brought out some rather questionable props for the audience to look at and even touch.

As well as being entertaining, I found the show to be educational and there was truth to be seen within the jokes that were made.

Not everyone would have enjoyed Kama Sutra as it is not a show for the faint-hearted.

As was to be expected, a lot of toilet humour was used by Karou and he also poked fun at people of all ethnicity and sexual preference.

All in all, I found the show to be entertaining and educational which, for me, is a huge plus.

Karou possesses a rare quality in a comedian which is to have his audience in stitches while managing to educate them in the same breath.
