Duo hip-hop winners
Dancers from Dance Directions recently competed in the Supreme Dance of the Year dancing competition held at Carnival City's Big Top Arena.
The event was held over two days and featured dazzling dancing and spectacular dance costumes.
Ayden Janse van Rensburg and Zane Bezuidenhout were competing in the u-11 duo hip-hop section against nine other pairs and were awarded first place.
Other dancers from Dance Directions competed in different categories such as solo, couples, slow dance, hustle, rock n’ roll, formation teams, small groups, champ of champs and hip-hop.
Teacher Mariska Wolmerans says these categories were done in solo, duos and small groups.
“The students did extremely well and I am proud of all of them,” she says.
