Springs sisters are doing it for themselves
Modelling Cameron sisters at their best on the ramp.
Springs modelling sisters Gabriella (14) and Ava (9) Cameron represented South Africa at the International Presentation of Performers (iPop) in Los Angeles in July.
About 750 performers took the stage.
Gabriella, a Grade Eight pupil from Hoërskool Die Anker, and sister Ava, a Grade Four pupil from Laerskool Jan van Riebeeck, performed a commercial and monologue for the second time.
Their mother Je-nean Cameron says the duo also took part in the ramp walk in modelling.
They performed in front of over 200 scouts from all over America who auditioned boys and girls from around the world
“They have clients in hit shows such as World War Z, Liv and Maddie, Resident Evil 6, Star Wars and many more,” says Je-nean.
Ava won third runner-up Best Monologue in her age group, while Gabriella was chosen to participate in the runway showcase in the 16 years and older category due to her height.
Je-nean says iPop is the world’s leading talent event and promotes emerging talent to leading agents, managers and casting directors.
iPop talent comes from all over the globe, including the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia and the UK.
According to Je-nean this is an event no words can describe.
“Red carpet, awesome performers, an impressive showcase, photographers and celebrities were the highlight of the week,” she adds.
