If a director ever wanted to name drop this is the film to do it with.

Ocean’s 8 brings together a host of the best actresses in the business to create a wonderful film which is far superior to Oceans 11, 12 and 13.

Sandra Bullock, in the role of Debbie Ocean, is joined in this heist movie by heavy hitters Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina and Rihanna.

For five years, eight months and 12 days, Debbie has sat in prison devising the biggest heist of her life.

She knows what it’s going to take – a team of the best people in the field, starting with her partner-in-crime Lou Miller.

Together, they recruit a crew of specialists, including jeweller Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose to cover every angle of what will be the perfect heist.

Their target – a necklace that’s worth more than $150-million (approximately R2.1-billion).

With every angle thought out and planned for the eight women, they pull off a complex heist which sees them walking away with far more than most of them signed up for.

This is a fast-paced, witty movie which is a definite must watch with sterling performances from this high calibre cast.
