Ward councillor Ramesh Sheodin says: “Residents of Bakerton are complaining of the noise, drinking and partying in the park.

“The gym equipment was installed for the beautification of the park and for physical exercise.

“The complaints of the residents are valid as the park is not meant to be used for ablution, drinking and partying late into the night.

“The users must respect the rights of the of the residents living in nearby streets and not abuse the facilities and also not to leave it filthy after utilising it.”
