February 6 to February 8

• Springs Tamil Association invites all Devotees to their Thai Poosam Kavady at the Sitthi Vinayagar Alayam, 3 Thirteenth Avenue, Bakerton. Daily Obayam will be held at 6.30pm on February 6 to 7. Februay 15

• The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels in celebration of Valentine’s Day and to raise funds. The event will be held at the Bakerton Community Centre in 1st Avenue. Doors open at 6pm and your ticket price includes dinner. You are welcome to bring your own drinks, but there will be a corkage fee. All funds go towards education. March 6

• The Geduld Methodist Church will host the 2020 Women’s World Day of Prayer service in Springs. An open invitation is extended to friends from all the local church communities. The service starts at 9.30am for 10am at 63 5th Avenue, Geduld. Contact Bev Linde on 083 324 8708.

• Springs Senior Citizens Computer Club from 10am to 12noon, followed by lunch. The club is held at the centre, situated at 1A Seventh Street North, Springs CBD. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.

• Senior Citizens Springs Centre has a permanent hairdressing facility from 9am. Booking is essential. The centre is located at 1A Seventh Street North, just off First Avenue in the CBD. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.

Every Friday

• Senior Citizens Lunch at 12noon at SpringsCare. Booking is essential and must be confirmed by Thursday no later than 2pm. The centre is located at 1A Seventh Street North, just off First Avenue in the CBD. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.

• Yoga classes from 10am to 11am at the Senior Citizens Centre situated at 1A Seventh Street North in Springs CBD. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.

Join a three-hour, 8.5km hike across the Melville Koppies. The hike sets off at 8.30am sharp and hikers should be reasonably fit. Contact Wendy Carstens on 011 482 4797.

• Join a 4km guided walk, which takes three hours, of Melville Koppies and learn about who used to live there; enjoy the peace and be surprised at the

First Wednesday of every month

• Join the Boksburg Hiking Club for a meeting at the Atlas Bowling Club on the corner of Denel North and Atlas roads, Bonaero Park.
