Woman drug dealer arrested

The woman was escorted to the KwaThema Police Station

Kwa-Thema – A 35-year-old woman was arrested on Monday on charges of possession and dealing in illicit substances.

This was after law enforcement received a tip-off from members of the community.

EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng said the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the woman in the S’kuthuleni informal settlement after she was found in possession of narcotics.

“The suspect was found with a plastic bag containing khat and 53 Mandrax tablets valued at R3 000, as well as R1 670 in cash believed to be profits gathered illegally,” he said.
The woman was escorted to the KwaThema Police Station and is due to appear in the Kwa-Thema Magistrate’s Court soon.
