Delivery vehicle drivers urged to be more vigilant in KwaTsaDuza

Police have noted an alarming increase in the hijacking of delivery trucks in Kwatsaduza. According to Capt Johaness Ramphora, Springs Police Station communications officer, there has recently been five such incidents. “It appears the perpetrators call certain companies and ask for goods to be delivered. We suspect there is a syndicate of people who are using addresses in Kwa-Thema, Tsakani and Duduza.” Ramphora explained the drivers are ambushed as they deliver the goods.

“We encourage drivers to verify the addresses and the contact person before they go to the address,” he said.
