Leaking pipe at Botha Street

A resident in Ackerville complained that water has been leaking in a street for more than five day and they have reported the matter at the council.

The water pipe leaked at Botha Street in Ackerville and allegedly it was reported the first day it leaked. The resident said he was sent from pillar to post when reporting the pipe leak.

“This is waster of precious water and we are told to save water. Who is going to pay for the waste? When I phoned the council, I was put through to some one else who told me to hold and later gave me a number to dial and when I phoned that number, I was told to try again,” said the angry resident.

Apparently the pipe was fixed on Monday, March 10.
