
Two men were victims of a business robbery at Extension 12 where one man was shot dead and the other was injured when he was hit with the hilt of a gun on the back of his head.
After a long day of work, deceased Mr Zeleke Wodamo (25) and Mr Ashenafi Bololo (22) locked their shop and went to their bedroom to sleep.
On December 1 at 04:00 the two men got a rude awakening when five suspects broke the wall of their bedroom to gain entrance and pointed at them with firearms.

Wodamo tried to fight and wrestled with one of the suspects but he was over powered by one of the criminals leading him to lie in a pool of blood after being shot dead and Bololo was hit at the back of the head with a gun.
The suspects then moved to the shop where they helped themselves to money, airtime and cigarettes. Setting back the shop with an amount that could equal R10 000.
Bololo was taken to Witbank General Hospital for a check-up and later was discharged on the day.

“I am fine, just a little bit shocked. But I’ll pull through,” said Bololo.
Mr Abraham Moulid said they are currently preparing for Wodamo’s funeral which will take place in Ethiopia.
“We are very sad about what happened to one of our brothers. I really hope they catch the culprits,” said Moulid.

The bedroom’s wall they broke to gain entrance into the shop on December 12 at Extension 12.
The suspects are not known.
