On Friday morning, December 11 the owner of a house in De Klerk Street was horrified by what he saw on his camera footage earlier that morning.
The incident happed at approximately 02:20 that morning, when a suspect was seen crawling along the ground checking his surroundings and making sure everything is fine before he stood up.
In the footage the suspect walks over to the white Corsa that is standing in a open garage and takes the car radio, on the neighbours footage it can be seen how this suspect hands the car radio to another suspect. Then the suspect returns and takes clothing, a few peek caps and hands that over.
Once again the suspect returns looking around for what he can take next. On the third attempt he takes an adjustable wrench.
“During this process a broken television was standing outside, it also disappeared but I am not sure when it was taken,” said the owner of the house.
A case was opened at Witbank Police Station.
On Saturday, December 12 at 00:00 in Hertzog Street a 22-year-old woman was at her home watching television when three unknown men entered her home.
It’s alleged that two of the men were armed with knives, they demanded that she handed over her cell phone.
The woman was allegedly stabbed with an object in her head. The suspects got away with a television, amplifier and a pair of shoes.
