
Two young girls aged eight and 18-years-old were sleeping late during the school holidays, when the youngest one of the two noticed people in the garden. She ran and jumped into her sister’s bed to warn her.
The girl’s father made sure that he locked the security gate and the main gate on Wednesday morning, July 6 at his home in Toerien Park complex.

At approximately 10:15 Miss Smile Masina (18-year-old) heard something break and woke up, by this time her younger sister was in her bed already.
As Masina came out of her bedroom, there were four suspects inside the house, two were armed with a pistol and one was armed with a knife.
One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the girls and told them to go back into the bedroom and they locked the door.

The main bedroom of the house was locked and the suspects could not enter, that’s when they left without stealing anything.
“The men were wearing gloves, they were very young men and one had a beard,” said Masina.
The same time last year the same house was broken into, but the previous time the house was cleaned. In the same complex another house was also broken into during the holidays and the suspects got away with a television and a playstation.
