Mr Vusi Mhlanga managed to find his way back to civilisation after he was hijacked in the Central Business District.
The hijacking took place on July 9 at about 15:30. Mhlanga was driving in Langenhoven Street when two cars pulled up and blocked his path.
A suspect, armed with a firearm, walked up to his Suzuki Swift and held him at gunpoint.
“They told me to get into the back of the car then three guys got in and we started driving,” he said.
Mhlanga noted that one of the vehicles used to block his path was a white Volkswagen Polo sedan, it trailed them as they drove out of the CBD towards the highway.
Some time had pass before they came to a stop and told Mhlanga to get out of the car, they abandoned him in a field and drove off with his Swift.
“I walked to Vosman Police Station where I found help and a lift took me back to eMalahleni, I then opened a case of hijacking at Witbank Police Station,” said Mhlanga.
