Three robbers were caught after a chase took to Witbank Golf Course.
The arrest took place on July 17, police were out on patrol near the N4 Highway when they heard someone call for help, security guards were giving chase to three suspects who had jumped the fence and were running through the golf course, police intervened.
One of the security guards of the golf course confronted one of the armed suspects and managed to disarm him of his knife, he then detained the suspect. Police caught the other two suspects who had also tried to flee the course on foot.

“I am pleased to see our security is hard at work and keeping our course safe,” said Mr Doctor Mthimunye, Witbank Pro Shop.
The three suspects who had committed robbery were placed under arrest and police and the security guard were able to retrieve the stolen possessions which included a Huawei Cellular phone and R350.
“We have increased our security on the course, this includes the addition of a canine patrol unit, making it a lot safer for anyone to come play,” said Mr Sarel van Heerden, Witbank Golf Club Captain.
