Assailant’s case postponed for attorney’s attendance

The 21-year-old man is accused of committing robbery with aggravated circumstances on April 17. The very same robbery left Mr van Zyl scared after he confronted the accused and was allegedly assaulted during the robbery.
The accused appeared again before the Witbank Magistrates Court on Monday, August 22. The case was postponed to

Thursday, August 25 awaiting the attorney who would defend the 21-year-old man.
No further details regarding his appearance on August 25 was available at time of print.

The accused has a further two charges against him in the Colenso Magistrates Court, that of using a vehicle without its owner’s consent, and a charge of escaping police custody.
