Robbed of belongings in Impala Street

Two unknown men approached a community member in the streets one armed with a golf club.
On Thursday, August 25 at 04:45 Mr Mangoba Vilane was walking in Impala Street next to Khayalami Estate.

He alleged that is when he was approached by two known men armed with a golf club.
Vilane was then asked by the men what he had in his pockets, he responded and said;

“I have a tablet in my pocket.”

That’s when the second suspect started searching him for his personal belongings.

“I did not know what to at that stage as I was being threaten by the suspect who was holding the golf club in his hand,” said Vilane

The suspects then took the tablet and ran away. A shocked Vilane went to the police station shortly after the incident and opened a case of robbery with a weapon other than a firearm.
