Driver never saw pedestrian on highway
It’s alleged that Mahlanlela never saw the pedestrian who started crossing the highway
A 40-year-old man died on the N12 highway after he was hit by a vehicle last week.
The accident happened on Sunday evening, September 4 at 20:20 from eMalahleni towards Johannesburg.
Mr Mpumelelo Mahlanlela alleged that he was travelling along the N12 highway with three other occupants in his silver grey Toyota Corolla.

They were on their way back home to Johannesburg when the accident happened.
It’s alleged that Mahlanlela never saw the pedestrian who started crossing the highway and he hit the 40-year-old man with the passenger side of the vehicle.
Nobody inside the vehicle sustained any injuries, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was declared dead on scene.
